Empowering Activity- Put Your Shield Up!

Just yesterday I read an article in the NY Times questioning the credibility of my profession based on age, linking inexperience to people in their 20′s. I was automatically hurt and deflated to read the negative comments that followed the article. I quickly recovered but I’d like to share some ideas around blocking out negative energy, because it appears all the time around us. There will be people who will doubt your abilities, question your ambitions and your dreams. Sometimes they don’t realize that they are even doing it! This is where you will need to pull out your invisible shield of protection and place it all around you, blocking all the negative energy that may be coming your way. The next time you are faced with criticism and negativity:
- Use your shield and don’t let people’s negative opinions and ideas get you down
- Recognize that people are entitled to their own opinions, and these opinions have no power unless YOU give them power to affect you
- Remember your purpose in the fabulous work that you do for the world (that means you!, my wonderful fellow bloggers!)
- Keep doing what you love, as the energy of love is so much stronger than hate that it will attract to you everything you need, including supportive people who believe in what you do
So keep on shining my beautiful Goddesses!
